New One&Only announced for Hainan, China

A new One&Only resort is to open its first hotel in China’s on the Hainan Island, it has been announced. One&Only Sanya will have a private coastline on Tufu Bay with 180 rooms and villas. It is due to open in early 2014 and will be One&Only’s first resort in China. More >

China’s Spring Air targets $1.2 billion in IPO next year

Spring Airlines aims to raise more than $1.2 billion in an initial public offering in the first quarter of 2012 as China’s sole budget carrier wants to double its fleet size in the next four years, its president said.

China plans 45 new airports as travel booms

The plans call for spending 1.5 trillion yuan ($230 billion) to expand air travel, said Li Jiaxiang, administrator of the Civil Aviation Administration of China. More >

China destination of choice

China has emerged as the second largest economy in the world overtaking Germany and setting its sights on USA. The Chinese economy is currently estimated to be around USD 3 trillion with an average per capita income of 2400 dollars. This is a far cry from the USD 14 trillion USA economy with an average per capital income of 24000 USD.
